1. Guided Tour
A combination of some 32 images with both audio and text explanation provides a CD overview, introducing aspects of both natural and human history. The tour runs automatically or you can operate it manually selecting either audio or text mode as you prefer.

2. Explore the Landscape
In this mode you select your own locations to visit around the Lake Mungo region. You have two major options:
• 7 localities based on Lake Mungo itself
• 3 localities based on the adjacent lake, Outer Arumpo.

Each locality involves a number of specific ground "sites", each with its own special information, set within the general region of that locality.

3. Explore by Theme
Learn about Australia through themes that arise from exploration of Lake Mungo. Themes include the physical environment (geography, geology, Ice Age climatic change, etc.), aspects of archaeology (tools, shell middens, fire, burial sites, etc.) or social issues (history of discoveries, indigenous involvement, management issues, etc.).

Available under separate headings, these themes are well suited to project work.
